Emtpy Peanut Butter Jar Day (pictures)

Me and Bailey got a special treat this week. We got to lick empty peanut butter jars! Mommy has been saving them in the cupboard until she had one for each of us.

I took my peanut butter jar to Mommy's bed,
which is where I hide all of my special stuff.

Bailey has a pretty long tongue but it's not long
enough to get all of the peanut butter out of the jar!

When Bailey decided to try and tear the jar apart,
Mommy said our treat time was over. Boo on that.

We need longer tongues or smaller jars because we couldn't get all of the peanut butter out. When Bailey tried to rip the jar apart Mommy said we were done with our treat.

My friend Luna Belle says her mommy gives her nut butter jars, too, but she gets glass jars. Me and Bailey are wild animals. We would break glass jars. Luna Belle says her jars are too tall and her tongue is too short, too.

I think Mommy is saving more jars in the cupboard. That's where she also keeps the squeaky ball we fight over. I think there is other good stuff in the cupboard.

No Fair To Bandit Day

Riding around in the cemetery in the rain is about as much fun
as sitting in the driveway in the car in the rain. BORING.

Today was a day called No Fair To Bandit Day.

First, Mommy said, "Hey, Bandit! Let's go for an adventure in the cemetery!" She wanted to look for a funny headstone she saw once and forgot to take a picture of. She said it would take about twoteen seconds and then we could have a romp because it was a warm day.

Except it took about twothousandteen seconds and she didn't find it and it started raining and raining and raining and we couldn't go for a walk. So I rode around in the car and got bored out of my whiskers and didn't get to walk for one inch or pee on one single tree.

Boo on that.

Then later when the rain stopped Mommy said, "Let's try walks again! Bailey gets to go first because she didn't get a car ride." Haha, like riding in the car is a big prize. Not much, Mommy.

So Bailey and Mommy went to the other cemetery and did a walk and came home. Then me and Mommy got in the car and drove to the cemetery.

And guess what? It started raining again!

Mommy said, "Oh, it's only sprinkling a few sprinkles so let's walk." Except we walked and walked and it sprinkled more sprinkles until it was making giant raindrops on our heads and we were wet through our fur and coats.
This is what it looks like when your Mommy makes you walk in the rain. Boo on that, Mommy.

It was not a fun walk.

So I had to ride around in the boring car and take a walk in the big rain. It was not a fair day to be me.

But then I got invited to a wedding for my friend Dexter! He is marrying his girlfriend. Dexter is a dog. So is his girlfriend. She does not have cooties. I will tell you about that fun wedding on another day.

Me and Bailey get squeaky ducks!

Mommy says maybe my friends miss my blog posts. If you are not on Facebook you miss all my funny pictures. Boo on that. You should be my friend on Facebook!!

OK, so guess what happened today? Mommy went to the store to get stuff and she brought me and Bailey home stuffed squeaky ducks!! Thanks Mommy!!

Here are pictures of us with our new toys. Mommy said they cost about eleventy two dollars a minute of fun, since they are now dead stuffed squeaky ducks. That's OK, Mommy. Fun is lots more important than dollars!

PS You are not allowed to steal our pictures. The dog picture police will get really mad. If you love our pictures so much that you have to have one or you will cry all day, just let me know and I'll send you one!

Mommy let me pick out which stuffed duck I wanted for my own.

OK, Mommy! I pick this one!!

Bailey picked her stuffed duck. See you later, Mommy!

Bailey chewed her duck's wing.

Bailey's duck needed a wingectomy.

Then she unstuffed her duck!

Bailey is a pretty sister but she can unstuff a squeaky duck pretty fast. This is how daddy
takes pictures of dead deer. So we took a dead squeaky duck picture for him.

I took my squeaky duck upstairs. Mommy's Lambykins helped me squeak it.

Hey! I went outside to bark at my friends for a while and Lambykins
unstuffed my squeaky duck! Bad Lambykins.

Mommy, can you go get some more stuff that squeaks?

Meet my cousin Mila

This is my cousin Mila. She is very pretty, isn't she?

Mommy's cousin Jenefer called Mommy this week and said, "Hey! On Friday, can you come over to my house after my knee gets operated on and take care of me and make me lunch and get in everyone's way?" And Mommy said, "Sure! I am good at taking care of people and making lunch and getting in everyone's way! What time do you need me?"

So on Friday, Mommy went to Jenefer's house. Jenefer didn't need anyone to take care of her because she is a tough cookie and her knee didn't hurt so much. So Mommy just made lunch and got in the way of Jenefer's husband, Nick.

It is also Dylan's house. Dylan doesn't like Mommy to come over. He cries when she looks at him. Once upon a time he used to like her but he didn't see her for a long time and when he saw her again he decided she was not interesting any more. I think that happens to people a lot.

But guess what? Dylan and his mommy and daddy have a new dog! Her name is Mila and she is a sled dog. Mila thought Mommy was interesting.

Mommy says Mila and I are two peas on a pod. I think that means we are tasty.

Mommy says Mila is very smart and very good but that she thinks me and Mila have a lot in common. Mostly that we busy in our brains all the time. That is mommy-talk for dogs who are always thinking of ways to be naughty.

Hahahaha!! I think me and Mila would have some good romps together!!

We go for a romp and a swim at Corbett's Glen

We went for a walk in the woods today.

Mommy found a new romping place today: Corbett's Glen Nature Park!

Our friends at Pitty Love Rescue went for a romp there yesterday so Mommy took me today to see if it's a good place for us to walk. Guess what? It is!

There is a nice trail that doesn't have bumpy stuff that will make Mommy trip, because she is not a very graceful walker. And there are a lot of trees and stuff for a dog to sniff and pee on. And Mommy said she is not afraid to be there because there are a lot of houses pretty close. You know Mommy doesn't like to be in the woods alone.

There is only one bad thing about our walk in Corbett's Glen: a stupid German Shepherd and his stupid mommy.

When we are walking and we see someone, I am supposed to come to Mommy and sit nice and get a treat. That is because you are not allowed to jump on people and you are not allowed to sniff another dog unless he says it is OK.

The stupid German Shepherd was not on a leash and he came running at me when he saw me. I wanted to growl at him and tell him to go away, but when I do that to Bailey she fights with me. I did not want to have a fight. So I sat nice for a minute while the stupid dog sniffed me until his stupid mommy came to get him. She said, "Oh, he is a friendly dog."

Hahaha, guess what? Sometimes I am not a friendly dog! Especially if you are a stupid dog that gets in my face and won't leave me alone!

I did not like that dog. But I played friendly and I got a reward for being good. At the end of the trail there is a swimming place and Mommy let me get all wet and dirty and muddy! Yay!

You can romp in the water and stay on your leash!

Just in case you didn't know, if there are people in the swimming place you should ask if they mind if a dog splashes around. But if they say OK, you can get in and make a big water mess! I ran around in the water and chased the splashes and fell into a hole and had a great time.

Me and Mommy had so much fun we went home and got Daddy and Bailey.

Me and Bailey played nice for a while in the water. Then we got cranky and had to go home.

It was so much fun that after me and Mommy were done we went home and got Daddy and Bailey and took them there to play, too. Me and Bailey romped until I got tired of her and we had to go home.

So we had a good romp in the woods and got to swim and we didn't have to get baths. Then it rained and me and Bailey barked at the thunder for about twentyleven minutes. Then we took a nap.

It was a good day.

The end.

Love,

What we did on Sunday (pictures)

This is where I went today. Do you know where it is? I will give you a hint.
It is Mommy's favorite place except for the used bookstore or
the place where you can get ice cream sundaes.

So here is what we did on our holiday Sunday.

First, me and Bailey went outside together and Mommy played ball with us for about twelveteen minutes. We have not had play ball time together since we had our last fight eleventyfour days ago when I got a boo boo on my chest and someone bit Mommy on the finger and squished her ring.

Then me and Bailey played water dogs. That was fun because we both drank a lot of water and then peed every two minutes for the whole morning.

Then Daddy came home from work and guess what? Me and Daddy and Mommy went to Mt. Hope Cemetery for a long walk! Yay! I like romping in the cemetery. We visited our friends Lottie and Susan B. Anthony and I peed on a bazillion trees and met a nice man who gave me a treat and talked about his Border collie.

Blah blah blah. Enough talk! Let's romp!

Me and Daddy. We don't like to get our picture taken.

Just in case you didn't know, if you are a boy dog you can go potty anywhere in the woods. If you are a girl Mommy person and you have to go potty, though, you have to go to the visitors place and use the inside potty. And if you are my Mommy, while you are in there you go exploring through the building while me and Daddy wait outside, and when you come out. Ta da! You have decided to volunteer at the cemetery.

I wonder if they will let me come with her? They serve cookies and lemonade. I would be very helpful with that.

Anyway, when we were done with our romp, we went home and Mommy gave me a Kong with peanut butter. And then she and Daddy snuck Bailey out of the house. Boo! They went for a romp without me!

Bailey said they went to the woods and she saw a lot of critters and it was exciting. But she said it was not a romping place Mommy would go without Daddy because, just in case you didn't know, Mommy is afraid to be in the woods alone. Even with a very brave dog. She likes to hang around in the cemetery with the dead people.

Bailey and Daddy were tired after all that romping.

Anyway, when Mommy and Daddy and Bailey got home, me and Bailey got to play puppy school, which is basically when we practice being in the same room without fighting. We did really good. That's because we were tired from our romps and Mommy had chicken. We will be pretty good if you give us chicken.

We are practicing how to be good dogs in the same room. Look! No blood!

Daddy is taking a nap. I think we wore him out. But me and Bailey still have some barking and running around like wild animals to do before bedtime.
And that is what we did on our Sunday afternoon.

Mommy goes to her 30 year reunion

Cassie went to Mommy's reunion to make sure she was having fun. That is love.

So a couple of weeks ago Mommy went to her high school reunion. A high school reunion is when all of the people you went to school with get together to have a big party and pretend to know each other.

Mommy has been out of high school for 30 years, which is 210 dog years. That's a looooong time. I am surprised Mommy remembers her own name, let alone the names of people in her English class 210 years ago.

Here is what happens at a reunion: people stand around and get drunk and say things like, "Didn't we used to be in homeroom together?" and "Hey, remember when I stuffed you into your locker?  Ha ha, wasn't that funny?" and "Gee, that guy is still as handsome as he was in high school" when really he is fat and bald.

Blah, blah, blah. All talking, no tennis balls.

Dogs don't have high school reunions. We have play group! We go to class on Tuesday and then have play time together on Saturday. Dogs don't need name tags to remember each other. We just sniff butts to say hello. Then we run around like wild animals and play fetch and then get big drinks from the giant water bowl and pee on the floor and it is the greatest time ever.

Dogs don't need some stranger to tell us we are still handsome after all these years, because we all know we are the handsomest dogs in the whole world. Our mommies tell us so every day.

Mommy said there was a lot of hugging and kissing at her reunion, which probably means someone went home with worms. That's what happens at play group. She also said there wasn't any peeing on the floor, but I'll bet she just missed it. Every dog knows that when there is a lot of drinking there is a lot of peeing.

Mommy said that pretty much no one at her reunion remembered her, which was a lot of fun. They said, "Gee you are funny, who are you?" and she just laughed. She said it didn't even make her feel bad; in fact, it was nice to feel pretty and funny for once instead of boring and old.

Mommy, who cares what a bunch of drunk strangers think? All that matters is that you are our Mommy and we love you. Me and Bailey never forget who you are, and we have fun romps together, and I'll bet no one from your high school knows what secret snack we have every night when we snuggle in bed. Those are the important things in life.

Reunions are fun but true love with your pups is way better.

LOVE
BANDIT!!!
