So Mommy's friend Super Cool Lori Lenz (ta da!) was at an event for something called Faceless International, and guess what? Lori said two people are talking about me and Scout!
HAHAHAHAHA! I told you we were famous!
Don't be scared! Mommy said the people at Faceless International do have faces. That would be very scary. How would they eat? Or kiss their puppies? Or see what color socks they were putting on in the morning? Or play mystery barf?
Mommy says that the name Faceless means that they do stuff for people around the world that usually get ignored. They feed them and help them and take care of them and love them and make them not get ignored any more.
Did you know that in some places - even in America! - mean people steal other people and then sell them? They get sold like puppies! Except puppies get to live in warm comfy houses and sleep in bed with their mommies. People who get sold don't get treated nice. They are forced to do things that Mommy says a little puppy should not have to hear about. That is not very nice at all.
It's good that my friends at Faceless are working hard to take care of those people.
So you can add Super Cool Lori Lenz to your list of friends, and also add all of my friends at Faceless International to your list. Because they work very hard to help people and still take time to read my blog.
Hmmm. Mommy said maybe me and her are going to take a road trip this summer. Maybe we can go visit Super Cool Lori Lenz and the people at Faceless?
Love
Bandit

Scout and Bandit become the spokesdogs for Faceless International
Guess what? Me and Scout have some super cool fantastic news to share!!
We're going to be the spokesdogs for Faceless International! (You remember, we wrote about Faceless before.)
Isn't that great? They're going to use me and Scout to help teach kids about the very serious problem of human trafficking.
No, human trafficking is not when forty-leven hundred people all try to cross the street at the same time.
Human trafficking is when bad people steal other people and sell them, or force them to do horrible things that they do not want to do, and keep them in terrible places without food and water and won't let them go home to their mommies no matter how much they cry.
It is not a nice thing at all.
Me and Scout are going to help Sarah and Nancy and Super Cool Lori Lenz answer questions and tell stories and teach our readers about this, and tell you how you can help.
Plus, and this is really exciting, Mommy says one of us pups is going to take a road trip with her and maybe even visit some schools and people who are helping Faceless! I know it'll be me she takes, because Scout doesn't like to ride in the car.
So keep checking back for more stuff about Faceless International and how you can help fight human trafficking. You won't even have to leave your house.
LOVE
BANDIT!!!
PS: you can read what Mommy has to say about this. And you can visit our friends Faceless International, too!

Bandit writes a letter to Bo Obama
Dear Bo Obama,
Hi, paw pal! Mommy read an article today that said you have been in your new home at the White House for a whole year, and that no one threw you a party or anything.
Boo on them, Bo. You need a party.
It's a super big celebration day when a puppy comes to live with his new family and you need a party every year! But maybe the Obamas just don't appreciate you like they should. The article said that you had to live with another family before you went to live in the White House. Is that true?
How come, Bo? Was that so you could learn not to poop in the Oval Office or chew up the carpet in Lincoln's bedroom? Did someone teach you how to sit and stay and spin in circles before the President would let you come home?
That's too bad. They shouldn't worry about you knowing how to do all that stuff. It takes a long time to learn how to be a good dog. Trust me, I know. Your family won't appreciate what a good dog you are unless they also knew what a bad dog you were. And part of the fun of having a family is getting to learn how to be a good puppy while you wreck their house being bad!
I saw that picture of you and your family. They seem pretty nice, I guess.
But Mommy read in the article that you don't even have your own page on the White House website. What's that about? That stupid cat Socks had a page, and Barney the dog had a webcam.
You should have your own blog! We want to hear all about life in the White House! Even though you had to get puppy schooled before they let you move in, do you eat Mrs. Obama's shoes? Has the President stepped in your poop yet? Do they feed you from the table? Do the girls let you sleep in their bed, even after you run through the sprinkler and dig in the flower beds? If they do, then they are a good family. Dirt is a good bonding thing.
Your daddy the President should give you an official job so you can have your own page on the White House website. Me and my brother Scout are spokesdogs for Faceless International. We are going to help teach people about human trafficking and how to be nicer to each other and help each other out more. Talk to your daddy about finding a good job for you. Or maybe he would let you come to a Paw Pawty.
Anyway, Bo, I have to go because my friends are barking at the back fence and we need to have a meeting about Mommy's cranky chickens and that nasty cat on the next street. Me and my brother Scout hope you are having lots of fun in the White House. But we doubt it, if you aren't even having a One Year With The Family party.
If you ever want to have a play date, let us know. We'll come over and run around in the Rose Garden and then go inside and pee on something. It'll be great!
Love,
Bandit

Rover was a bad, bad boy
Dear Rover,
Me and my brother Scout are spokesdogs for Faceless International. We help teach people about human trafficking and modern slavery.
Our friend Lori told me about your radio show and how you and your friends were joking about how great it would be to buy your own sex slave. I don't think that's a very funny joke.
Girls who are sex slaves are forced to do terrible things that they do not want to do. They are taken from their mommies and get sold like puppies, but they are not even treated as good as puppies.
Human trafficking hurts other people very badly and it's not a polite thing to joke about. We are supposed to love each other and protect each other, not hurt each other.
Rover, you should know that as a dog with a radio show you have a lot of responsibility to be a good role model for other puppies and people. And I think you stunk up the airwaves with that joke.
If you want, me and Scout can give you some information about human trafficking so you can learn more about how bad it is. Just give us a bark and let us know!
Your pal,
Bandit

Scout and Bandit's Guide To Life: Bandit (almost) meets another Bandit and learns an important lesson about being useful
Bandit here! Guess what? The other night, a man came to the door. He was very tall and was wearing a blue suit with shiny stuff on it. Scout and I sniffed and sniffed and we could smell that he had a dog. We decided that he was a nice man and since Daddy knew him, we let him in the house.
It turns out that his name is Cuyler and he is one of Daddy's best friends. And he is a policeman!
At first, I thought maybe Mommy called the police to come and take me away, because I haven't necessarily been a good boy all the time lately.
But he wasn't there to get me. He and his partner had to come and look for a bad guy in town. But guess what? His partner isn't another man. Or even a lady. His partner is a dog!
And do you know what the dog's name is? BANDIT!
Hahaha, isn't that funny? The policeman has a dog named Bandit!
Mommy said that it was probably not a good idea for me to go and meet the other Bandit, because he was working. So I sniffed Officer Cuyler for a while, and I introduced him to my chickens.
Then Mommy and Daddy went out to meet the other Bandit. Then Kona and Killian's mommy Flow came over to make sure that we were all OK since there was a police car in front of our house. (Isn't she a good friend?)
Mommy showed me this picture that she took of Bandit:
I think I am glad I didn't go out and meet him. Isn't this picture of Flow and Officer Cuyler scary?

No, Officer Cuyler! Don't arrest Flow!! Don't take her away!! She's a nice lady! She has dogs, too! (Hahaha, just kidding. He wasn't going to arrest her!)
After Officer Cuyler and Bandit left, I felt sad. The other Bandit has a very imporant job. He helps save people and put bad guys in jail. He had to have special training and go to police school and everything!
And my brother Scout has a very important job, reading with Timmy every week at school. He had to go to special school and pass a test to do that.
But I don't have a job. Maybe Mommy will get tired of me being bad and find another dog who is smarter and more useful and doesn't eat her cell phone.
But Mommy said, "Of course you have a job, silly. Your job is to take care of the chickens!" She said that the girls aren't afraid of me and I'm not afraid of them, and we get along really good.
When they're out in their coop in a few weeks someone will need to make sure no one bothers them, like other dogs and cats and racoons and that big hawk. That is my job and no one else can do my job. Scout can't do it because he's afraid of the chickens. Murphy can't do it because he wants to eat the chickens. And he's not allowed outside, anyway.
Mommy says that when she has me come with her to feed the chickens, and when she says, "Here Bandit, come and see Mrs. Beasley," she is actually teaching me how to take care of the chickens.
Yeah! I have a job! Mommy needs me! I didn't even know it!
So I learned this week that first, Daddy has some very interesting friends, and second, that even if you don't know it, you have a very important job that only you can do.
How about that?
Love Bandit
UPDATE: May 2010. Guess what? Me and Scout have a new job! We are spokesdogs for Faceless International. We're going to help them tell people about slavery and human trafficking and how they can help people escape from it!
