The dogmobile gets unscreeched
Last week, after the car fixer man inspected the dogmobile, it started to screech.
First, it went scrrreeeeech whenever Mommy turned it on. Then it stoppd when she drove.
Then it went scrrreeeech when Mommy turned it on and scrrreeeeech when she drove it down the street, and then it stopped when she drove.
Then it swent SCRRREEECH when Mommy turned it on and scrrrreeeech all the time when she drove.
And this week it went SCRRRREEEECH all the time. When she turned it on. When she drove. It was so loud that when we drove to the canal, everyone was looking at the scrreeeechy dogmobile.
Everyone said that the dogmobile probably had a loose belt but that its pant wouldn't fall down so don't worry.
Yesterday, the dogmobile was SCRRREEEEEECHing so loud that Mommy drove to see her regular car fixer man, Jim, and said, "Can you ask my dogmobile why it's SCRRREEEEEECHing like that?"
So Pete, who works on lots of dogmobiles, took ours for a ride around the street. Mommy and everyone in the car fixer place started laughing because they could hear it going SCRRREEEECH the whole time.
Then Pete said that she had a belt that was about to break. So Pete fixed the belt and changed the oil, and he gave our dogmobile a check up, even though Mommy didn't ask him to do that. Jim said Pete likes to work on dogmobiles and he is something called "meticulous." (I hope that doesn't mean he has ticks, too.) He checked the tires and the brakes and the engine and some other stuff. I guess he really likes dogmobiles!
Anyway, Pete said our dogmobile is rusty underneath but other than the grumbly muffler, it looks super A-OK. Two paws up, Pete!
So now we have a quiet dogmobile and its pants won't fall down because of a loose belt.
The only problem today is that it's raining outside so there's no place for us pups to go. Boo on the rain. That means we'll have to take a nap today. But I guess that also means I probably won't get any more ticks. So that's good.

Bandit gets a tick
Well, like I told you before, no good fun goes unpunished.
Today Mommy was giving me love snuggles and she felt a giant bump on the side of my neck. First she thought it was some junk stuck in my fur. Then she thought it was some icky thing growing out of my neck.
So she took me to see Dr. B. And he said, "It's a tick."
Ick! A tick!
A tick is an icky bug that jumps onto you when you are out romping in the woods because it wants to suck out all of your blood. Mommy thinks my tick jumped on me yesterday when we were out at the canal because it wasn't there yesterday morning and Dr. B said it was a fat tick with about a day's worth of blood in it.
This is how you get rid of a tick.
First, Dr. B holds your hold body really tight and he holds your head so the only thing you can move are your eyeballs.
Then Mommy takes a picture of the tick using her cell phone.
Then the helper uses her big pinchers to try and grab the tick. While they are doing that, your mommy says, "It's OK, puppy, you're being a good boy!"
Except you are not being a good boy, because first, you are wiggling to get loose, and second, you are thinking about how you can get all of those biscuits out of the jar on the counter when Dr. B lets you go.
I would show you what my tick looks like except the picture didn't get saved. But trust me. It was a big, fat one.
Anyway, Dr. B says that in six months, when I have my test to see if there are worms in my heart, they will do another test to see if I have Lyme's in my blood.
When we got home, Mommy went right upstairs and took all of the blankets and sheets off the bed and is washing them because she said she is grossed out. She also felt Scout all over his body to see if he had any ticks. He doesn't have any ticks (or tocks either). Then she gave us our flea and heartworm medicine, which we were supposed to get last week.
So that was my day. I got unticked and had a bunch of biscuits at Dr Bs.

We make some new pals
Mommy took me and Scout for a walk on the canal. It was nice. God painted the leaves all pretty and the sun came out to play.
Plus, me and Scout made some new friends! Two dogs named Kelly and Buddy were walking with their mommies so we stopped to say howdy.
Buddy and Kelly were not on leashes. No fair. My leash got tangled on someone's legs, so Mommy let go. Yay! I was free!
I chased Buddy. Then Buddy chased me. Then me and Buddy played wild maniac dogs and went for a super fantastic run. First we ran around our mommies. Then we ran into someone's yard and disappeared.
Bye, Mommy!
Our mommies called our names but we just kept running. And then .... surprise! We came running from the other side of the house as fast as the wind, right back to our mommies!
It was great.
We said goodbye to our new pals. Scout didn't want to walk any more so we went and got drinks from the dog fountain and came home.
We did not have to have nap time today. Yay!

All good fun ends with a bath
After dinner, me and Scout and Mommy went outside and played flashlight soccer in the dark. It was great! We ran around in the rain and mud and leaves and had ourselves some good fun.
Then Mommy made me and Scout get baths. That was not great.
Boo on baths.
We didn't get whole baths, which was good. We got our paws washed. Well, actually, we got our butts, bellies, and paws washed so it was a bottom half bath. But we still hated it.
But I got back at Mommy. First I got my paws washed and then while Scout was getting his paws washed, I went on Mommy's bed and walked all over her piles of clean clothes with my wet feet and then I undid all of the blankets on the bed and rolled on her sheets.
She was not happy with me. It was great!
Mommy, why does all the good fun have to end with a bath?

We have a dogmobile adventure
That's me helping the roofing guy. Get back to work, roofing guy!
Me and Scout had another adventure with Mommy today in our super fun dogmobile. Yay!
First we went to Country Max to get chicken food. Me and Scout had to wait in the car while Mommy went in and paid. But when the guy came out to put the bag in the Jeep, I jumped out and went for a tour of the warehouse. Mommy kept saying, "Come on Bandit! We're going to Timmy's for a donut!" But first I had to make sure there wasn't anything tasty at Country Max.
Then we went to Tims and got come coffee and Tim Bits and a donut for Daddy. We have lots and lots of room in the dogmobile. It's the greatest dogmobile ever.
We went home and jumped out of the dogmobile and went to visit Brigitte for a minute because we are bad dogs. Then we went home and played for a while.
There is a lot of noise in the backyard today, which is why
Scout is too scared to play outside too much.
Except Scout is afraid of the roofing guys machine that goes BRRRRRRRRR and he went inside to hide. So this is what we do:
Scout goes in and I stay outside. Then I miss him so I bark to come in. Then I get bored so I bark to go out. Then Scout misses me so he barks to go out. Then he gets scared and barks to go in. And then we start all over.
Daddy is here today watching the roofing guys so Mommy says we should go outside and leave her alone. Haha, Mommy, you're so funny!
Love
BANDIT
PS: So guess what? The roof fixer guys had some work for Daddy to do, and me and Scout found A LOT to bark at. Yay! Everyone was happy! Except Mommy, who said, "Can't you dumb dogs shut up for once so I can take a nap?" Hahaha, Mommy! No naps for you!
Can you see Daddy way up on the roof? Don't fall off, Daddy!

We took Mommy for a walk on the canal
The roofing fix it guys are here today and me and Scout have been barking maniacs all day. So Mommy took us to the Erie Canal for a walk.
We had lots of fun! We saw some people and met some dogs and sniffed about fortyleven million new smells and drank from a special water fountain just for dogs!
Then we went home and barked at the roofing fix it guys some more until Mommy said her head was going to explode. It was a great day. And we're glad Mommy's head didn't explode.

It's been a stinky week
Mommy is not a happy mommy this week. On Monday, she got the dogmobile back and it was GREAT. But on Tuesday, Daddy had to take the dogmobile to get inspected by the dogmobile inspection tester.
And the dogmobile did not pass the inspection test.
Boo on that.
It had stinky tires and a stinky hole somewhere making a stinky computer say that the dogmobile could not pass the test. So every day this week, Mommy has had to drive the dogmobile around to see if it would change its mind and turn off the computer thingy. And then she had to go back to have the tester test it. Today the car fixer man fixed something to see if that would help. But it didn't.
On one of her trips, Mommy took me for a ride. I got to see the car fixer place and pee on the mailboxes on his street. And then when we got home, I jumped out of the car and went over to see Sasha and Steeley at their house but they weren't home.
Except Mommy didn't know where I was so she had to go around the street and see if she could find me. One of the neighbors ratted me out and yelled out their window that I was at Sasha's house. Mommy was not happy at me.
Anyway, it has been a stinky week. Me and Scout have been left all alone way too much. But tomorrow will be exciting because the roofing men are coming at 7 AM! Yay! That means all of our friends will be up that early Saturday morning, too!!
Love,
Bandit

Yay!! The dogmobile is back!
Look how happy Scout is in the dogmobile!
YAY! YAY! YAY! The dogmobile is back!!
Mommy and Daddy picked up the dogmobile on Saturday so yesterday Mommy took me and Scout for adventures.
First, we went to Nana's house to visit her and our cousin Lily while Grandpa Art went to the casino to win big money and try to forget about the dogmobile.
We only went into the house for a few seconds but I jumped on some stuff and smelled a lot of good things I'm going to eat next time I go back. Then we went outside. Lily is a little dog like Goliath. We didn't play much with her because me and Scout had a lot of work to do, peeing on everything in the yard so Lily will remember us when we're not there. Next time maybe she'll want to play wild maniac dogs.
Then when we were done we went to Grandma's and played with Dali. The big tree in Grandma's yard fell down and her house looks naked now. Poor Grandma. Me and Scout kept getting our leashes all tangled up in Dali's leash. I also went to visit the neighbors for a while.
Then Mommy said, Enough adventures! And we went home.
The dogmobile is a lot more fun for us dogs than Mommy's car. Scout has his own compartment way in the back so he can look out the window and wave to everyone. I get the whole giant navigator's seat so I can help Mommy drive.
The best news is that the dogmobile did not make any clunks.
Yay for Grandpa Art! Yay for the dogmobile! Yay for adventures!

Bandit the chicken whisperer
All of the chickens except Aunt Bea came out to play.
She was too busy laying an egg.
Just for fun, Mommy let the chickens out of their run today so they could scratch around the yard. Me and Scout kept playing catch with Mommy while the chickens were out, but Scout doesn't like the chickens so after a while he went and hid.
But I hung out with the hens. I didn't eat any chickens. But I did eat some chicken poop.
This is me with Lucy and Ethel. They are my favorite chickens.
Ethel and Lucy are the adventure chickens. They followed me all around the yard while the fat hens stayed near the door to their run.
This is me and Coco. See how her neck feathers are all fluffy?
That is how she says, "Watch it, you dumb dog or I'll peck your eyeballs out."
She is not a nice chicken.
When it was time to go in the house, I helped Mommy put the chickens back into their house. You should know that you do not have to bite a chicken to make it do what you want. All you have to do is stick your cold, wet dog nose on their tail feathers and they'll do whatever you want!
Love,
Bandit, the chicken whisperer

The dogmobile goes CLUNK!
Uh oh. Mommy was driving the dogmobile this week and it went clunk. Then it went clunk again, and then it stopped moving. On the expressway.
Boo. The dogmobile broke down and the tow truck man had to come and pick it up and take it to Grandpa Art's house.
But yay!! Grandpa Art and Dale the car fixer man found the problem! Grandpa Art is going to fix it and make it all unclunky and then we can have more adventures. Daddy said someone must have prayed for our dogmobile because it's not as bad as Dale the car fixer man first thought or as expensive. Me and Scout know it was Grandma praying.
Me and Scout didn't even get to have an adventure in the dogmobile yet so we are excited to get it fixed. Not a big adventure anyway. We got to romp around inside the dogmobile while it was in the driveway. And on the rainy day, Mommy put us in the car and drove us around the block. But that's it. We didn't get to go to Grandma's and show her the new dogmobile or let Dali ride in it.
But that's going to change soon!!
Yay for Grandpa Art! Yay for adventures!

Check out our new dogmobile!
Mommy and Daddy picked up the new dogmobile today. It has lots of room for two puppies to ride around town.

Me and Scout checked out the new dogmobile.
It has lots more room than Mommy's other car.
There might be lots of room in the back of the Jeep,
but I am going to ride in the front seat. Try and make me move.
Mommy! This is a great dogmobile! Let's go have an adventure!
And guess what? No one went potty in the new car yet. We're such good puppies!
