Wordless Wednesday - does that mean I can't bark?
Hi everyone! Today is BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday. Mommy says that I have to pick a pretty picture and post it to my blog. And then I have to be quiet for the whole rest of the day.
I think she is kidding about the second part.
Since me and Scout and Bailey get a lot of attention, I decided to put up a picture of our cat brother Murphy having a sleepy nap time.
Love,
BANDIT!!!
PS This is called a Blog Hop. That means that you can see all of the other bloggers who are doing Wordless Wednesday and click their pictures and go visit them. Tell them Bandit sent you!!

Me and Bailey get a snack
While Mommy went upstairs to take a shower after dinner, me and Bailey helped ourselves to a snack from the BlogPaws bling bag.
Bailey climbed all the way up onto the table and took out some Pedigree dog food. We opened it and she had some and then I finished it up. When Mommy came down from her shower she said we were pretty enterprising pups.
I think that means that we are very smart, grown up puppies because we can take care of getting our own night night snack! Which is good, because there are lots and lots more good snacks in the bling bag!

The Pettie Awards are handed out at BlogPaws
While we were at BlogPaws, DogTime Media handed out the Pettie Awards. It was not the kind of awards show where you have to get dressed up in a tuxedo or fancy dress and high heels and sit at a table for four hours pretending like you are having fun. It was an on-the-TV kind of awards show you can watch at home in your jammies.
I didn't win anything. But our friend Carol did! Carol is Dexter's mommy. Yay for Carol!
Maybe someday I can win a Pettie award. That would be good because the winners get money to give to their favorite dog charity. I would give the money to Pitty Love Rescue, since that is who helped us take care of Bailey. Maybe if we give them enough money they will take her back.
HAHAHAHAHA!! I'm just kidding. I love Bailey. Which is good because I am stuck with her forever.

Bailey and Scout fight over the BlogPaws 2011 goodie bag
Last night I brought in the bags of goodies we got from BlogPaws so I could share with Bailey and Scout. Mommy said they could sniff out the good stuff they might want to play with.
Bailey and Scout are bad. They growled at me and wouldn't even let me have my own treats, and then they got in a big fight over stuff and had to get separated by Daddy.
Mommy had to take it all way. We are not allowed to even sniff the bags. Boo.

Pictures from our second day at BlogPaws 2011
Yesterday was our second day at BlogPaws. Here are some pictures!
Mommy, how many times are you going to
make me do this stupid trick?
BlogPaws breakfast! Table for one Papua Piig
the guinea pig and his buddy Decoy.
Ma'am? Are you going to eat that muffin?
Hey Bocci!! I found your mommy!!
I greeted everyone when they came to the first seminar.
And then I took a nap.
This is me and Dexter playing with his mommy Darlene.
Dexter had a super fun squeaky toy.
Excuse me, ma'am. Can I have another biscuit?
Hi, Robbi! Got any good treats in this bag?
Then at the next seminar, I took another nap. (Mommy says that you should know
that Holly's seminar was not boring. After lunch, I took another nap.
Just in case you didn't know, having fun makes you very tired.)
This is Edgar daKitty. He is Kelly's traveling kitty.
Kelly's regular live kitty stayed home.
This is Carol, Dexter's other mommy. Hi Carol!
It's lunch time. Where's Dexter?
(PS Mommy sent me to the romping room
while she ate. Boo. But I came back for dessert.)
They had cheesecake for dessert. I only had a lick. Or three.
Me and my pals John and Dusty. Corgis are fun!
At BlogPaws, there was a whole giant room filled with treats and stuff. You could go around to all of the tables and get goodies! It was kind of like a pet trick or treat.
Why yes, I would love to sample your dog food!
Hello sir. May I please have a whole bag full of my
favorite California Natural biscuits, please?
Sure, Mr. Toki Poki. I would love a treat!
Me and my Corgi pals!
Yes, ma'am. Your kitty is cute.
Maybe he would like a treat to share with me?
Me and Mommy are waiting in line to
see the movie "Spooky Buddies."
Yay! Movie night! Thank you for making
popcorn just for me, Vivian!
Can we go now and find a seat for the movie?
After the movie, all of the people got their pictures
taken with a cute puppy in a bunny costume.
Boo on cute puppies. I want my picture taken.
This is my new best buddy Rick. He loved me. I loved him too.
Maybe I should go visit him in Los Angeles so I
can tell his partner they need another dog.
So that was our second day at BlogPaws! I don't have picture of me eating Mommy's pizza or romping in the dog park room or other fun stuff. But we had some good times! And I met a lot of super duper people and their pets.

Our first night at BlogPaws
So here is what our first night at BlogPaws is like.
The first thing you have to do is check in. Hello, my name is Bandit! Can I have my name tag and a goodie bag, please? The BlogPaws lady was very nice and didn't mind that I knocked over all of her name tags.
When we got to our room, we opened our goodie bag and tested all of the treats and played with the toys right away.
Not all of the pets that are here are dogs. Do you know what this is?
Ferrets! They are best buddies. They have to be if they travel snuggled up like that.
After we walked around the showroom and took some stuff off of tables, we got to eat. Just so you know, dogs are allowed in the dining room! Hahaha, I know what you're thinking. But guess what? I was very good! Well, except for almost at the end when I licked a bunch of stuff off of the buffet. But everyone was pretty much done by then. And only Mommy's friend Robbi saw me. Robbi did not bring her dog Henrietta. I hope she doesn't get lonely. Maybe she could borrow a ferret!
Guess what? I didn't eat off the plates! Mommy let me taste some potatoes and I had a fortune cookie. This is what my fortune says:

There are a lot of people at BlogPaws. Some have their pets with them. Some don't. But a lot of them have treats.
This is Bean and her Mommy, Mel. Mel, do you have a treat? |
Are you sure you don't have any treats in your purse? |
It's a cat wearing a dress and a beret! How about these guys?

Uh oh. This could be trouble! |
Mommy says that would be very nice. Even if it was just for the next few days.
Anyway, we are back in our room. Guess what? I get my own bed! It's a big giant bed. And I have it all to myself!
But first Mommy and me will do some snuggling and then we will go out through the lobby in our jammies so I can potty one more time and then we will go to bed. Having an adventure makes you tired!
Good night!

We got to Blogpaws 2011!
Me and Mommy get to BlogPaws! |
Hey everybody! Guess what? We're here!!!
Me and Mommy got to Washington, DC a little while ago. So far we have gone out to the car about fortyleven times to bring stuff in, got ice, picked up our goodie bag, and checked out the dog sitter room. I pooped. Outside, of course. And I got some nice pets from a pretty and nice flight attendent from a country where women have to wear covers on their heads.
Guess what else? I peed in 4 states on this trip! New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia.
I don't know yet if I like this kind of adventure. Riding in the car is BORING. But I was pretty tired since I didn't sleep at Grandpa's last night so I slept the whole way today.
Me and Mommy slept in the living room at Grandpa's. But I could hear a cat meowing all night but I couldn't find it. So I kept going upstairs and barking to wake Grandpa or Carol or Chris up. Hey, wake up! There's a cat stuck in the walls someplace!
Then we had a BIG GIANT HUGE thunderstorm. I was up at 1:30, 4:00, 4:30, 6:00 (I got up with Chris when he went to work because he made a hot dog for breakfast), 6:30, 7:00, and at 7:30 when Mommy said, OK, let's get up, I said, Nah, I'm going to sleep in a little bit.
Then Ashley and her kids came over for breakfast. It was crazy so I just ate some bacon. Then Mommy and me got on the road.
I can tell you more later - like how I ran away and romped in the woods and Carol said I maybe ran in poisoned ivy. But just so you know, I didn't pee on anything yet that I wasn't supposed to pee on. And I held that poop from Pennsylvania to Virginia!
Oh, and guess what else? If Mommy is on the first floor of the hotel, she can hear me barking our room. That's good to know in case I need her.

There was an earthquake in Washington - even God is excited about BlogPaws 2011!
Guess what happened today? The whole ground shook!! It happened in Virginia and Washington, where me and Mommy are going for BlogPaws.
I guess God is excited, too!
Mommy says that it was an earthquake but that BlogPaws is probably still on. I hope so. I had to get a bath last night so I wouldn't be stinky. If I took a bath for nothing, I am not going to be happy.

See where we are going on the map
This is how far we are driving to BlogPaws. |
Today Mommy bought a book of maps to show me where we are going on our trip next week. We are starting at the top piece of dog food and ending at the bottom piece of dog food, which is about fortyleven miles, or breakfast to dinner.
Except we are going to stop at Grandpa and Carol's on the way down so it will be dinner to bedtime one day, and then breakfast to snack time the next, with some time in between to chase cats.
Cassie is driving home from Florida right now. Look at how far it is from one dog food to the next for that trip! It's eleventyseventy miles! We are glad she is coming home. That is too far away to live from your mommy and Grandma and Dali.
Look at how far Cassie has to drive to come home! |
I didn't know that America was so big. There is a whole page we won't even drive near. If I'm a good boy, maybe we will plan another trip in the dogmobile.

Thanks Grandma, for helping me go to BlogPaws 2011!!
Some people have said, "Gee Bandit, we would like to help pay for your trip to BlogPaw!" But Mommy has said, "No, it's okay, we have enough money."
Except we don't have enough money because yesterday the dogmobile had to get some stuff fixed and now we don't have enough to pay for our hotel.
Aunt Jackie said, "Hey Bandit! You should put a sponsor box on your blog so people can give you some money!"
Mommy says it is impolite to beg for biscuits, but I am NOT going to stay home with my stupid sister Bailey. We got into a big fight this week and we both got some good boo boos on our heads. Besides, me and Mommy both need some adventure.
So yesterday I made a box in case people want to donate some money so I can go to BlogPaws.
We need about eleventyfortyteen dollars to go. Grandma gave us a lot of money yesterday so now we only need fiftyleventeen dollars. Thanks Grandma! You're the best!
So if you have an extra biscuit you'd like to give us, you can use the pretty little box that is right there or you can visit my ChipIn page.
Thanks!!

Getting ready for our BlogPaws 2011 adventure
Mommy is getting us ready for our adventure in eleventeen days when we go to Virginia and BlogPaws. She is making a list of stuff to pack:
toothbrush
toothpaste
jammies
hair junk
pen
papers
shoes
socks
understuff
clothes
camera
maps
money
blah
blah
blah
Here is my packing list:
biscuits
blankie
Mommy
This is going to be an exciting trip! Mommy even ordered me my own business cards so I can be very professional in case someone wants to hire me to write a super duper column for their tasty magazine. Or in case I pee on something and she has to tell them where to send the cleaning bill.
We are also going to have a movie night while we are there! It's a movie about dogs and it's going to be lots of fun. And I'll bet there will be popcorn!
Anyway, we leave in eleventeen days and we will be gone for seventyleven thousand hours. We might even stop and visit Grandpa on the way except he has cats and we are not sure if dogs are allowed.
Daddy will stay home and be in charge of Bailey and Scout. He will have to feed them and give them their medicines and make sure Bailey doesn't pee on everything and tear apart the couch pillows and bark for fortyleven hours a day.
Me and Mommy are going to have lots of fun. Daddy is probably not.

Bandit's going to BlogPaws 2011!
"OK, Mommy! Let's load up the suitcase with some tennis balls and biscuits and my blankie and hit the road!" |
Mommy said today, "Bandit, how would you like to go on a big, big, big adventure with me?"
Yes, Mommy, I would like that very much. Can we leave right now?
She said we are going to someplace called BlogPaws. It is a big party for pets and their people in Virginia, which is right near Washington, DC! Maybe I'll call my pal Bo Obama and see if he wants me to come over for a romp in the Rose Garden.
We will drive to BlogPaws in the dogmobile and stay in Mr. Sheraton's hotel and have lots of good times.
I have never slept over at someone else's house. Except for that time when I ate Mommy's inhaler and had to go stay at Dr. Simon Kirk's emergency hosptial where they took out my blood and did experiments and gave me my super power. (Aunt Jackie, what am I thinking right now?)
Mommy says a hotel is not like that at all. She says it's one big pawjama party! You can romp around and eat snacks and stay up late and jump on the beds. Dr. Simon Kirk's hospital is not like that. Although I did get to wear a lampshade on my head.
Mommy is very excited because she says we never do anything fun. So we are taking the dogmobile to Jim the Car Fixer Guy next week and he'll tell us how many bazillion dollars we need to spend so it will be safe to drive eleventeen hours to BlogPaws. Then we will pack our suitcases and get ready to GO!
I guess I better start practicing how to be a good dog, because just in case you didn't know, you are allowed to pee inside at Miss Sherri's romping palace but you are not allowed to pee inside Mr. Sheraton's hotel.

That's all we have to say about that.

We had a busy weekend
It was a busy weekend. Mommy and Aunt Jackie and Grandma went out to birthday lunch at a restaurant. Us dogs were not invited. Boo on that.
Then Mommy and Aunt Jackie went out at night to see Uncle Al play his guitar. We were not allowed there, either. Me and Scout were mad because Roxanne was there and we haven't seen her since we went to her house to get bathed and brushed and fluffed up. We like Roxanne a lot. Boo on that, Mommy. Maybe next time Uncle Al will play at a bar that lets dogs come and watch.
Cassie came to visit from Florida! Yay! Mommy and Bailey went to Grandma's house on Sunday to visit. Me and Scout had to stay home. Too many dogs and not enough room in Grandma's house. Dali and Bailey had lots of romps.
While Mommy was out, I wrote her column for the Christian Voice Magazine because she forgot to do it. She writes the stuff she has to do on a board and then Murphy rolls around on it and erases it. Bad kitty. But I am a good office helper. I wrote a good column.
Then on Monday, Dali came to our house! Us four dogs had a romping time. We ran, we barked, we had some biscuits.
Then Daddy's friend Mike came over with his girlfriend Andrea and their kids Conner and Brennan. They were out for a bike ride and decided to come and see us stinky dogs and our stinky chickens. Andrea doesn't like dogs so we didn't jump on her. But we jumped on her kids!
Today Bailey has to go see Dr. Hall to see if she can make Bailey's hips not hurt so much so she will stop being so cranky. Look, here is a picture of Bailey's bones!
So we're tired. I think it might be a Sleepy Nap Day.
