I have a No Elephant Adventure

This is me, waiting for the circus train.

Today Mommy said, "Hey Bandit? Want to have a super elephant adventure?"

Yes, Mommy! You know I love adventures!

The circus came to town today, so me and Mommy went to watch the circus people unload the elephants off the circus train so they could do a parade to the circus arena.

The circus train was supposed to come at 2 pm. So we were there at 2 pm. Then it was supposed to come at 3 pm. So we waited. Then they said it would maybe come at 4:30 pm.

This is me, still waiting for the circus train.

So me and Mommy decided that we weren't excited enough to see elephants that we wanted to wait for another two hours. Instead, we went to visit Pam at the shelter - hi Pam! - and then we came home.

I didn't get to see any elephants. But I made some new friends.

Me and the Hello Kitty girl. She loved me.

This is my new friend Micayla. She is part Border collie because she is very smart and likes to play a lot!

Me and Micayla. She has lots of play energy!

If she lived next door to me I think I would have someone to play with me all day. Except that I think she likes to play dress up. Scout said she probably likes to have tea parties, too. I think Bailey would like that. It sounds like blechy girl stuff and Bailey is a blechy girl. HAHAHA!

This is a picture Mommy did not take of a circus train that we did not see.

Anyway, I didn't get to see any elephants. Mommy says that if us dogs don't start behaving she is going to pack a suitcase and sneak on the circus train when it leaves town. Of course, she would have to take me because I know the way to the train station!

My first Rally Obedience class!

I am not the teacher's pet. I am Mommy's pet. But I am the teacher's helper!

Today I went to Miss Sherri's romping palace for school. It was a class called Rally Obedience.

So far Rally Obedience class is pretty much walking in a giant circle being a good boy and getting hot dogs popped into your mouth when you do stuff your Mommy tells you to do. Sit. Hot dog. Walk. Hot dog. Lie down. Hot dog. Walk. Hot dog. Sit. Hot dog. Stop jumping on the table trying to get cheese, Bandit. Hot dog. It was super great!

Mommy says I  need to learn how to Stop and Stand without doing a Sit. I will do anything she wants as long as she keeps the hot dogs coming! Miss Michelle the teacher even used me in a demonstration. That's because one upon a time Mommy used to have weave poles in the back yard so Scout could play Circus Dog and I learned how to weave.

I also made some new friends - Potter and Sawyer and Maeby and Snowball. We are the smartest dogs in the whole world on Saturday at 11 AM, just in case you didn't know that.

When you are super good at your obedience, you get to play after class. I played flying dog. This is me and my pal Sawyer. He is blurry in all of the pictures. You know what that means - we're having fun!

Then Mommy and me went to Mr. Tim Horton's. They did not have any plain Tim Bits and they did not have Mommy's favorite donut. (I think Mrs. Tim Horton had the day off.) So we got a glazed donut. And it is DEEEE-LISH! I have a new favorite!

So that is Rally Obedience class. Hot dogs and playtime and new friends and donuts! Who wouldn't love that?

Bad dogs and crying mommies

Just in case you didn't know, if all of the sudden your mommy starts to cry, and you and your brother and sister have been really bad dogs for about eleventeen straight days, the two things probably have something to do with each other.

Read Bandit's first column in Pup Culture Magazine!

Today you can read my first column in Pup Culture Magazine! I got to write about anything I wanted so I picked Halloween!

You can read the magazine on your computer because it is a super space age kind of magazine, not the kind that you read and then put under the new puppy to catch his potty.

Let me know what you think!

I'm going to be a famous columnist!

Me and Mommy. We both tried to look pretty for our picture.
Guess what? I'm going to be a famous columnist! I am going to write for the new magazine, Pup Culture!

They think I am a good writer so every time they publish a magazine they want to make sure inside is something from super duper ME!

It is very exciting. I hope I get paid in dog treats from Gabriella's barkery, because she is a very good treat maker. I went there this summer and tasted a bunch of stuff and I would not lie to you. Look, I even have the pictures to prove it.

When you are a famous writer you need something called a head shot. That is when you take a picture of your face so that people who read your column know that you are not just a good writer but that you are handsome, too. I made lots of funny faces while Mommy tried to take pictures. This one is my favorite:

I think they should use this picture.
Anyway, you should watch http://www.pupculturemagazine.com/ and you will get to see what I wrote about Halloween.

A walk in the woods with Mommy

This weekend, Mommy took us dogs to the canal for a little play time. We each got to go by ourselves with her. Bailey barked at the ducks and played puppy school for a long time. Scout played bubbles for long time.

Scout says, Let's play bubbles!!

I peed on some trees and then we went home because we were hot and tired. I didn't have the best adventure.

Then yesterday, Daddy and Mommy took Bailey to the park for a walk. Boo on that. I like to walk in the park. But Daddy doesn't really like to go places with us dogs because he doesn't know how to talk Doglish, even though he loves us lots and lots. He says we make him nervous. So only one dog at a time when we go places with Daddy. I guess he's right. We can be bad dogs sometimes.

One dog at a time when you romp in the park with Daddy.

Daddy got to pick which dog he wanted to take on the walk and he picked Bailey. Boo on Bailey. She is a Daddy's girl dog.

So since I didn't get a good adventure, today Mommy and I went to the park all by ourselves and walked in the woods for a long, long time.

This is the woods where we went for a walk. We walked up and down and around.

It was great! I peed on about eleventyhundred and twelve trees. Which was good because we walked for a long time and then the trail ended and Mommy said we needed to turn around to find our way back to the car.

Don't worry, Mommy! I can sniff our way back to the car!

It was hot and we were tired but it was nice and quiet in the park. We saw some deer and some chipmunks and there was a lot of great stuff to smell and we met some other people with their dogs and the leaves were pretty and they crunched under our feet.

Me and Mommy in the woods.

Best of all, Mommy wasn't scared. We don't do walks in the woods because she doesn't like to go into the woods alone. But she says I am a good adventure partner and we can have another adventure like this again!

So today was a good day.

Mr. O'Possum comes to visit!

Mr. O'Possum came to visit.

Last week we have a visitor at the Funny Farm. His name is Mr. O'Possum. He was in the neighborhood snacking on stuff in the neighborhood birdfeeders. Some people put out peanus and other stuff and Mr. O'Possum and his raccoon buddies like to drop in for lunch. He saw our chickens and came over to see if they'd share some eggs.

Except he can't get into the chicken run unless he can tunnel about fortyleven feet through chicken wires Daddy buried. So he was just hanging out on top of the run when we went out to potty.

I smelled Mr. O'Possum but I never did meet him in person. But Daddy and Mommy did so they took this picture.

It's nice to have visitors but I think they should call first to let us know they're coming. Mommy said she does not want to meet Mr. O'Possum out in the yard in the middle of the night when we go out to potty.
